Just a few more pics of the spare bedroom with its paint now dry. Just some more trim Additionally, there are some pics of the back ‘sunroom’ area and basement which haven’t ever really been onto my website. The back sunroom got very cold in the winter and although it will soon be summer, I may still opt to include this room for new windows depending on the cost.

The tub is now completely grouted finally. Additionally, the spare bedroom was also painted and a ceiling fan hung up. The ceiling fan is similar to the one that is currently in place in the master bedroom. Some more minor trim work needs to be completed but it shouldn’t take too much longer to fully complete the room. Next up for the room is the installation of the toilet and sink stuff along with the new Moen shower valves.
A surface re-finishing company called Miracle Method (http://www.miraclemethod.com) will be coming out Friday April 10th to put a new coating onto the tub. The process will take about 4-6 hours and they will also put down a anti slip coating on the base of the tub. The goal is to make it nice and glossy white again. Currently, there are some scratch marks on it from where the old wall used to come out to and the tub has generally just lost its original whitish sheen. I have also decided that I will be having all new windows installed into the house so a local window company will be coming out in several days to provide me an estimate. Part of the new stimulus plan provides up to $1500 back on the items like windows, hot water heaters etc…
Yes…even though I have decided to get new windows I still painted the existing ones just to make the rooms look complete.
Below are just a few pics of some of the spare bedroom (second coat of paint still wet) and of the tub area being grouted…in addition a pic from the box of the new assembly for the tub area that needs to be installed. It’s a Moen brushed nickel tub valve / showerhead / faucet assembly.

I registered RhianBlock.com on July 28, 1999 just about the time when I was graduating Pennsylvania Institute of Technology and working long hours as a part time employee at Y100 in Media….the good ol’ days. I was only about 19 years old when I first put the website up on a free hosting service called GeoCities which was later purchased by Yahoo. I thought it was the coolest thing to have. 1999 was a bit early in the day as far as Internet was concerned, but for me it was a way to do cool things which could be viewed by others in the world. I can even recall having a Rhian Room cam. Creepy yes…but it was the coolest thing to be able to see my room from some remote location. Yes I was a total dork I am aware. About 4 years after the start of the website, I opted to make use of the blog type structure where I could instantly post thoughts and stories about anything quickly and easily without having to constantly modify html code.
I got hassled a lot about how much a nerd I was for putting all types of things onto the Internet but it’s kind of interesting to see how in today’s world with social networking services like MySpace, Facebook, and even Twitter everybody seems to have done an about face on the topic. People constantly post on these networking sites throughout the week on what it is that they are up to, sometimes updating their statuses multiple times a day.
Ten years later my little ol’ website continues to run. Provided I am still alive and well this website will continue on through good times and bad in my life and I am happy to have a way of keeping somewhat of a journal of my life. There have been many occasions where I have debated about just taking the website offline more times than I can count. There have been times where I have stopped posting anything additional for weeks on end because I was either too upset or just too busy. Since the site went onine, I have definitely been through a lot of different things in my life. Below are some pics I have probably posted before. Here I am 6 years before this whole web things even came to be in 1999. Yes a dorky kid. And..a pic from the graduation at P.I.T. probably right around the time that the website was born.
I wonder what I will write 10 years from today…..20 … years….even 30…..
I only hope I am alive and happy.

These meow meows have basically taken over everything. Just a pic of the cats … Jinx (black) and Hope (grey/black) chilling like cats do. What a hard life. Wish life was this easy – to never have to work or actually deal with the chaotic world. And no i didn’t somehow get Jinx to lie under the covers like a person.
