Haven’t posted much in a while so I figured why not post a couple more pics of the fence with the sealer I painted onto it. I purchased a 5 Gallon bucket of Behr Transparent Waterproofing Wood Finish.  I applied a couple of coats the front and back of the fence.  If I had my time back I would have sprayed the finish on instead of painting it on.  Waaaayyy too much work.  I was a dumby.  Anyhow, it does look a lot better and you can tell that the wood has darkened just a slight bit.

In just under 7 hours Main Street Fence (http://www.mainstreetfence.com) came and removed and replaced the old ugly fence at the man habitat.  Below are some images of the new fence.  Looks a lot nicer and the gate actually works.  The old fence images can be found at http://rhianblock.com/blog/?p=2284 

At casa de Rhian there is a fence which runs along the front and side of the backyard. It’s kind of ugly and falling down as a result of the previous owners attempting to move the fence back further away from the front door. Like a lot of things they attempted to do they failed miserably. The new 6′ high fence will be scalloped which means it will have an up/down rolling pattern on the top with new cap posts to give a nice appearance.  Some pics of the current fence are below.  The new fence is set to be installed in early August by Main Street Fence located in North Wales, PA.  Now I just have to acquire the permit from the township to do the replacement.

I decided to replace the aging mailbox on the front of the house with a new one and put new fresh numbers on it.  My other little task was to paint the concrete landing with special paint and spray paint the black railings after cleaning the rusty parts with a wire brush.  It actually turned out nice and things look a little bit more put together.  Just figured I would share a random house update.  Full speed ahead I guess….

I figured I would just post some higher quality photos which I have been holding onto of the kitchen which is almost done.  I have also posted a couple of before pics too.  Click for a larger version. 

Below is another quick image of the tile on one side of the kitchen.  The camera phone makes the pic a little bit washed out but you can get the basic idea.  You can see the accent lights I have installed underneath the cabinets..
